Several local organizations are teaming up with the Kino Border Initiative and Voces de la Frontera to host the Coulee Region Immigration Summit in La Crosse. The summit will energize and call to action everyone who recognizes the contributions of immigrants to our nation.
And, you’re invited and encouraged to attend!
Attendees will participate in a deep-dive learning experience focusing on bystander intervention, led by Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration Eileen McKenzie, mobilization specialist with Kino Border Initiative. Following Sister Eileen, founding Executive Director of Voces de la Frontera and recognized national leader in immigration reform Christine Neumann-Ortiz will share her expertise on the evolving landscape of immigration advocacy in Wisconsin. Attendees will also have the opportunity to mingle with local organizations working to support immigrants in the Coulee Region.
