Hello Educators and Community Partners,
We’re excited to share an opportunity for your students as we prepare for the 5th Annual Children’s Business Fair, taking place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Onalaska.
This year, we’re especially excited to announce that we’ve expanded age eligibility to include students up to age 17, allowing both younger and older learners to participate in this hands-on entrepreneurial experience.
In addition, the fair is supported by an exciting community sponsorship from La Crosse Community Theatre (LCT), which brings added value and real-world learning opportunities directly to participating students.
What This Means for Participating Students
Thanks to LCT’s sponsorship, every registered student entrepreneur will receive:
A voucher for tickets to ONE summer youth production at La Crosse Community Theatre, including:
- Penguin Project performances
- Jungle Book Kids
- Hadestown: Teen Editionv
- The Music Man, Jr.
Business recognition in a professional theatre program
LCT will feature all participating student businesses together in the official Come From Away program opening in March. Student businesses that submit an ad will be included in a shared quarter-page space, allowing students to see how businesses are promoted and represented in a professional, community-wide publication.
This experience helps students:
- Build confidence and communication skills
- Understand real-world marketing and promotion
- See their ideas valued beyond the classroom
- Participate in a meaningful, screen-free learning experience
What Families Need to Know
To be included in the theatre program, participating families will submit:
- Student business name
- Brief description
- Logo or small image (if available)
Submission Deadline: Monday, March 4
(Items received after this date may not be included.)
The Children’s Business Fair team will handle all formatting and coordination with LCT.
We would greatly appreciate your help sharing this opportunity with students who may be interested. Please feel free to forward this email, include it in newsletters, or post it in class communications.
Thank you for supporting experiential learning, youth creativity, and community-connected opportunities for students.
Warmly,
Children’s Business Fair Planning Team
