Event Details
To kick off Domestic Violence Awareness Month, join us for Dare to Self-Care to participate in self-care activities and support communities that face the greatest instances of violence and oppression by shopping with vendors owned by women, LGBTQ, and BIPOC individuals.
Vendors include Create Happy, Milkweed Beauty, Pink Me Salon, Unspoken V, Mia’s Kitchen, Mama Sol’s Kitchen, Wiigwaas Wonders, and Thy Sacred Lyfe. All vendors will have door prize drawings for attendees to win.
Self-care stations will be facilitated by university clubs and the facilitating agencies. Coulee Region Humane Society will be in attendance with therapy dogs.
At 12 pm, Mayor Mitch Reynolds will be making a proclamation of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The event will be held at the REACH Center at 212 11th St S, La Crosse, WI 54601 on Monday, October 3rd from 12 pm to 4 pm. It is free to attend. This event is a collaboration between New Horizons Shelter and Outreach Centers, YWCA La Crosse, and the REACH Center.
