director job position banner

August 3 @ 5:00 pm

The Greater La Crosse Area Diversity Council (GLADC) Director is a part-time, contract leadership position responsible for managing the organization’s daily operations, supporting its board, and advancing its mission of creating more equitable and inclusive workplaces, organizations, and communities.

The Director serves as the primary representative and point of contact for GLADC, building relationships with businesses, educational institutions, nonprofits, government agencies, and community partners. The role includes coordinating major events such as quarterly Lunch and Learns, member forums, the annual meeting, and the annual conference, while overseeing logistics, marketing, registration, and program evaluation.

Key responsibilities also include growing and managing membership, organizing board and council meetings, leading communications, and marketing efforts across digital and print platforms, maintaining member engagement, and handling administrative and financial coordination in partnership with the board treasurer and fiscal agent. The Director also collaborates closely with board leadership on strategic planning and organizational development.

The ideal candidate is a relationship-focused leader with strong communication, organizational, and project management skills who can effectively manage multiple priorities. They should have demonstrated experience in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB), social justice, organizational growth, and stakeholder engagement, along with a passion for fostering inclusive communities.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong computer and technology skills, with experience using Constant Contact, managing social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, and working proficiently with the Microsoft Office Suite.

Because the position is contract-based and resource-dependent, the Director must be adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with the board and community partners.

Interested candidates should submit a resume and a cover letter outlining their interest in the position, relevant professional qualifications, and experience in social justice and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). Application materials must be emailed to board@glaxdiversitycouncil.com no later than 5:00 p.m. CST on August 3, 2026.
