Thinking about college? Wondering where to start?

Make the Self-Sufficiency Program your first step!

SSP provides information and support to make plans that are right for you. Wherever you are in your educational journey – with no college experience, some credits, a completed certificate or an associate degree – SSP prepares you to take your next step. The only requirement to apply is a H.S. diploma, HSED or GED.

You will:

  • Practice college level work in a supportive setting
  • Discover your academic and career potential
  • Explore the programs and degrees at UWL, Western and Viterbo
  • Learn how to apply (or re-apply) to college and access financial aid
  • Learn about the SSP Locally Grown scholarships and others
  • Develop the confidence to reach your education and life goals

SSP is a no-cost evening program on the UW-L campus. Childcare is provided.
